Summary of Training
Oleson Saw Technology's Filer Training Center is located in Emigsville, PA. With corporate headquarters in York, PA, Oleson Saw Technology is a well-known manufacturer of band and circular saws for the forest products industry. In addition to our full line of quality saws, Oleson also offers a variety of supplies and equipment for the filing room including set-up materials, machine centers, alignments and wheel grinding apparatus. And since proper maintenance plays such a crucial part in saw performance and production, Oleson has created a first-rate course in filer training for circular and band saws.
To accommodate the unique abilities of potential trainees, Oleson's Filer Training Program is comprehensive in scope, yet flexible enough to adapt to the individual needs and skill levels of its participants. Under the supervision of experienced, well-trained filers, Oleson trainees are given professional instruction in the filing skills that will allow them to perform their duties with increased efficiency - a big pay-off in the workplace!
Since there is no substitute for hands-on experience, all Oleson filer trainees have the opportunity to learn and practice their technique on the training center's professional equipment. If you prefer, and if conditions allow, we also encourage the trainees to bring saws from their own mill. Past attendees found learning with the same blades they would be using later was invaluable in terms of time-savings, productivity and skill retention.
The course is an intensive week-long program which encourages comprehension
by allowing participants to focus exclusively on their training in an
environment where they are able to perfect skills and gain knowledge faster
than in less concentrated training environment.
Trainees are urged to arrive on Sunday afternoon and to be prepared for a 7:00 AM start the following Monday. Training will conclude at 4:00 PM on Friday of the same week.
